Hi Rebecca, Weclome to the forum.

I haven't heard of Poppy Z Brite before, what genre does she write?

Thank you all for the welcome ^_^ Sounds like a great place to be here.

For those who asked, Poppy Z Brite is a Gothic horror writer.
And as for historical novels, my favourite authors there are Ann Rinaldi (<3 her, I wish her book were available in UK shops), also Philippa Gregory, and also have just recently bought some books by Valerio Manfredi.

Oooh, gothic horror. Sounds like an author I need to investigate. What can you recommend by her, Rebecca?
