Default Where in the world are you right now ...

I've seen this thread on LibraryThing and I think it's quite cool!

Literary, not literally, where are you in the world right now ....

I'm currently in Moscow with Anna Karenina.

See where we've been here. I can't display the map on here as it needs html code and I don't have that on my profile but I'm happy to keep updating the map. If you also look here I've been deleting the countries as we've 'visited' them.

If you need ideas for the different places, you could try here.

With some trepidation, I'm off to Darfur with The Translator by Daoud Hari.

I don't get your smiley, Seanat ??

I'm literally in The Scottish Highlands, but I've just left there in the literary sense having just finished The Steep Approach to Garbadale

Trepidation because you don't think you'll like the book or a play on words because of the topic matter?

Trepidation because of the current crisis in Darfur and everything I've seen and read about the genocide and rape being used as a weapon of war.

It's a pity we couldn't have a map to pin our readings onto - I'm such a visual person!

I'm not entirely sure as I've only just started it, but I think I'm in New York on 9/11 (False Impression - Jeffrey Archer).

Didnt realise that when you point to the smiley it says 'sarcastic' ...i kind of picked it cos it looked smug
Wanted a smug look as i've heard that i'm likely to fall in love with the character Jamie in this book...not met him yet though.
